I’ve done many different forms of art throughout my life, from basket weaving to mosaics! My 'work' career over the years has included being a mail carrier, working at a chemical explosives plant, managing two live theatres, being a tour guide in St Augustine & Sarasota, FL then a Tour Director for the company.
When Covid 19 hit the USA in the spring of 2020, I was suddenly I was out of work and we made the decision to return to Ohio.
After a lifetime of scurrying around in various jobs, I turned to my art to create a peaceful spot in my days to relax and forget about the news.
Since I ‘retired’ to the country with my husband Randy, I now have the time to devote to my passion for COLORS and have found my Zen.
I hope you enjoy my creations!
Many of my pieces are directly influenced by a connection with nature. Since I also love learning, it is always exciting to research ways to add new elements to my work. I use many different mediums such as acrylics, beads, fabric depending on what I am interested in at the time. I believe that working in only a single medium forever is restrictive to my artistic process.
Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
No one can learn everything all alone!
Thank goodness for Google & Facebook, which is where I found my new passion & mentors!
I could not be where I am today if not for my mentors:
